As the pace of the second half of the legislative session accelerates, ACWA wants to ensure that member agencies are ready when the time comes to act. The attached information is intended to help prepare your agency on issues that will require grassroots support.

The 2004 policy principles were developed at the request of members to inform agencies about ACWA's positions on key legislative/regulatory issues. We ask that you take the 2004 policy principles to your board of directors and use them as a model to develop your agency's own policy principles on these issues. This will allow your agency staff the opportunity to quickly respond when ACWA requests letters and contact on specific legislation.
