Attorneys Program: The High Cost of Retirement - Strategies for California Water Agencies

What can you do about the skyrocketing costs for retirement benefits? A lot more than you might think, but you have to do it right to stand up to a legal challenge. This program will explore what can and cannot be done and how to do it. Topics will include Employer Paid Member Contribution (EPMC), two-tiering, employee cost-sharing, changes to retiree medical programs as well as the fundamental issue of whether a benefit is vested.
