ACWA’s Energy Committee works with staff to develop and make recommendations to the Board of Directors on energy issues and positions on state and federal legislation. It also helps develop programs to assist members with energy issues, including availability, pricing, distribution and hydro generation.
The Energy Committee makes policy recommendations regarding development of new power sources, assists in developing and providing input to the Public Utilities Commission, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and other regulatory agencies dealing with energy, and educates members on energy issues.
