Jan Jennings, Director of Administration
Jan Jennings joined the ACWA team in May 2000 as director of administration. In that capacity, Jan’s duties include managing the administration staff; human resources and safety administration; insurance and building facilitation and management; and overseeing the information and technology department. Jan is ACWA’s representative on the California Loan Purchase Financing Authority and currently serves as its general manager / board secretary. She holds certifications as a Workers Occupational Safety and Health Specialist; Professional in Human Resources (PHR); PHR – CA; and is a notary public.
Jan is active in the Sacramento Area Human Resources Association (SAHRA); volunteers in its mentoring program and reviewing student resumes at Heald College. Jan is also a member of the Society of Human Resource Managers and California Society of Association Executives. She is also a member of the Leadership California’s 2010 California Issues and Trends Program (CIT).
Jan was previously employed at the Tehama-Colusa Canal Authority where she started as controller and worked her way up to assistant general manager through her 11+ year tenure. Jan came to California in 1988 from Montana where she was born and raised. Her professional life there included serving as an elected official in the capacity of County Clerk and Recorder. Jan attended the University of Montana and received a Para-Legal Certification from the Para-Legal Institute of Phoenix, AZ.
