Paula Currie, Director of Meetings and Membership

As ACWA's director of meetings and membership, Paula Currie oversees the planning, organization and execution of the association’s conferences, seminars and meetings and directs implementation of the marketing objectives, procedures and strategies related to meetings and membership. She also oversees the association’s membership recruitment, retention and promotion activities.

Paula joined the ACWA team in January 2005 as senior meetings and membership specialist and was promoted to director of meetings and membership in October 2006. Paula was previously employed as director of membership and events for the California Assisted Living Association and prior to that she was the director of education for the Quality Care Health Foundation. 

 

Paula received her Certified Meeting Professional designation through the Convention Industry Council and is actively involved in Meeting Planner's International and California Society of Association Executives.
