Randy Record, ACWA President

Randy Record was elected to a two-year term as president of the Association of California Water Agencies in December 2011.

A fifth-generation San Jacinto native who has been active in the farming community for more than three decades, Record has served on the board of Eastern Municipal Water District in Riverside County since 2001 and served a two-year term as board president. Since January 2003, he has represented Eastern MWD on the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California Board of Directors and currently chairs its Engineering and Operations Committee.

In December 2007, Record was appointed chair of ACWA’s Federal Affairs Committee and has served on ACWA’s Board of Directors since January 2008.

He served as ACWA's vice president for the 2010-'11 term.

Record is founding chair of the Riverside County Water Task Force, a member of the Hemet San Jacinto Action Group and the Monday Morning Group of Western Riverside County. He also serves on the board of the Bank of Hemet. He and his wife, Anne, a San Jacinto school teacher, have two grown daughters.

Re-elected to the EMWD board in 2008, his current term runs to January 2013.
