Santa Fe Irrigation District Welcomes New Board Members and Elects Board Officers
Two newly elected Board members were seated on the Board of Directors of the Santa Fe Irrigation District In December 2012.
Director Greg Gruzdowich represents Division 1 and is a resident of Rancho Santa Fe. He has lived in the District for 19 years and is a retired Healthcare Business Executive. Director Gruzdowich will serve on the Districts Water Resource Committee and the Joint Facility Advisory Committee. Director Alan Smerican, represents Division 2 and is a resident of the City of Solana Beach. Director Smerican is a retired corporate security executive and career FBI agent. He will serve on the District’s Administration and Finance Committee and on the R.E. Badger Water Facilities Financing Authority Board of Directors.
In other District news, the Board of Directors elected officers for 2013-2014. Michael T. Hogan was elected by the Board to his third term as the Board President. He serves as Chair of the District’s Executive Committee. Hogan is the immediate past Chair of the San Diego County Water Authority (Authority) Board of Directors and currently serves as an officer on the Authority’s Board.
Director John S. Ingalls was elected Vice President of the District Board of Directors. He serves on the District’s Executive Committee, as Chair of the Administration and Finance Committee and on the R.E. Badger Water Facilities Financing Authority Board of Directors. Representing Special Districts across the San Diego region, Ingalls is a Commissioner on the San Diego County LAFCO, where he currently serves as Vice Chair.
The Santa Fe Irrigation District provides water service to the City of Solana Beach, as well as the unincorporated North San Diego County communities of Rancho Santa Fe and Fairbanks Ranch.
