Water Storage on the Foresthill Divide
In California’s Historic Gold Country
Visit California's picturesque foothills fed by the clear crystal snow runoff from the Sierra.
Tour Sugar Pine Dam and Reservoir, Oxbow Powerhouse, Ralston Dam Overlook and learn about area private timberlands, watershed stewardship, fire treatment and the thinning of forests from the U. S. Forest Service. Sugar Pine Dam and Reservoir is a 7,000 acre foot reservoir, providing water supply for municipal and domestic use serving the community of Foresthill. Construction cost of the project facilities was $46 million dollars in 1982. Recreation is provided by Tahoe National Forest and includes boat dock with ramp and parking area, three campgrounds, two day use areas, an improved hiking trail around the reservoir, fishing, swimming and beach area.

*Transportation from Sacramento is available.
Registration Fee: $ 50.00
(Includes: Meeting materials, lunch, snacks and bus fee.)
Registration deadline: July 1, 2010, or until space is full.
Tour participants are required to sign an ACWA Voluntary Release and Waiver. Reimbursements for canceled registrations are available if requested in writing and received by 5:00 p.m., July 1, 2010.
