Deadline Approaching for 2011 Emissary Award Nominations

The deadline to submit nominations for ACWA’s 2011 Emissary Award is Monday, Oct. 3.

Established in 2006, the annual Emissary recognizes individual ACWA member volunteers who have made outstanding contributions to the enhancement, protection or development of water resources in California by their participation and support of ACWA's goals.

Individuals demonstrate leadership in the course of service on ACWA committees; advocacy / outreach at local, state and / or federal levels; and commitment of time and expertise for the benefit of an ACWA program or issue.

Past recipients include Kings River Conservation District General Manager David Orth; Turlock Irrigation District then-Vice President Randy Fiorini; Lagerlof, Senecal, Bradley, Gosney & Kruse Senior Partner Jess Senecal Valley Center Water District General Manager Gary Arant, Bold, Polisner, Maddow, Nelson & Judson Attorney-at-Law Bob Maddow.  

Nominations must be received by Oct. 3. The award will be presented at ACWA's 2011 Fall Conference & Exhibition in Anaheim. Download a nomination form.
