DWR Seeks Comments on Water Portion of Climate Adaptation Strategy

The Department of Water Resources is seeking public comments on an outline for the water portion of the state’s Climate Adaptation Strategy.

Under the direction of the California Natural Resources Agency, DWR and the State Water Resources Control Board are working with other state agencies to  update the 2009 strategy to identify priority activities the state will pursue in the coming years to prepare the state's water sector for and adapt to the increasing impacts of climate change on water resources and water resource-related activities.

A meeting is set for Tuesday, Aug. 7, in Sacramento, to gather public input. Details on the meeting and instructions for submitting comments are available on DWR’s Climate Change Events webpage. The deadline for comments is Aug. 14.
