EPA to Host Webinars on New Software Tool to Help Water Systems Plan for Climate Change
EPA has developed new software, the Climate Resiliency Evaluation and Awareness Tool (CREAT), to assist drinking water and wastewater utilities in understanding potential climate change threats and assess related risks.
CREAT provides users with access to the most recent national assessment of climate change impacts for use in considering how these changes will impact utility operations and missions. For more information on CREAT, visit: http://water.epa.gov/infrastructure/watersecurity/climate/creat.cfm.
To assist users in using CREAT, EPA will be conducting free training sessions. Interested parties can register for the training at https://www.thetestportal.com/CREAT. Registration will be capped at 50 participants per session, but efforts will be made to accommodate preferences for specific dates, and additional webinars in December 2011 will be scheduled as necessary. All webinars will be held from 2:00-3:00pm EST.
