Emergency Ag Water Regulation Approved
The Office of Administrative Law on July 5 approved an emergency regulation for agricultural water measurement.
The regulation provides a range of options that agricultural water suppliers may use to comply with the measurement requirements in the California Water Code.
The regulation was submitted by the Department of Water Resources under SB X7-7as part of the comprehensive water legislation of 2009. The emergency action will be in effect through Jan. 4, 2012. DWR plans to immediately file for a permanent regulation through a regular rulemaking process.
