Stakeholder Panel on Conservation to Meet June 22

A stakeholder panel created to assist the Department of Water Resources in developing new statewide water conservation requirements will meet June 22 in Chino. The meeting, set for 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., will take place at the Inland Empire Utilities Agency.

The Urban Stakeholder Committee is charged with reviewing technical material and providing comments, data and supporting information to DWR as the department develops requirements under SBX7 7. Enacted as part of the comprehensive water package in November 2009, the law established new mandates for water conservation, measurement and reporting.

A technical subcommittee will meet the following day at the same location. Meeting materials will be available soon here.
