BDCP Meetings Restructured to Increase Public Interaction
The California Natural Resources Agency announced last week it is revising its meeting schedule to allow for more opportunity for public interaction and interaction between stakeholders.
Deputy Secretary Jerry Meral wrote in a letter that the BDCP’s two existing monthly meetings, one of which is a management committee meeting, will be combined into a single public meeting. The monthly meetings will last three hours, with the first hour devoted to updates regarding various elements of the BDCP, and the last two hours devoted to topics of general interest.
To allow for meaningful discussion between all participants, each interest group will be asked to appoint and send representatives to the meeting. Suggested agenda items from each interest group will be accepted prior to each meeting. Like all BDCP meetings, the meetings will be open to all members of the public.

The next BDCP meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 16 from 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. in Sacramento at the Sheraton Grand Hotel.
