Council to Review Final Staff Draft Delta Plan
The Delta Stewardship Council will hold its first public review of the sixth and final staff draft of its Delta Plan at its meeting tomorrow, May 24, in West Sacramento.
The draft plan, released May 14, reflects more than 10,000 comments received to date and analysis included in the draft environmental document circulated in November. The sixth draft also reflects changes to policies and recommendations in the areas of Delta levee priorities, flow objectives, land development and water quality, as well as clarifications to areas such as area of origin protection and covered actions. Other items on tomorrow’s agenda include an update on comment letters from the council to other agencies, including the Delta Conservancy Strategic Plan, and reports on the Delta Independent Science Board and Delta Science Program plan. Public comment will be accepted at the meeting.
The council is also set to meet June 14-15 and June 28-29.
