EPW Marks Up San Francisco Bay Restoration Act

The Environment and Public Works Committee marked up a number of water and oil cleanup bills today, including S. 3539, the “San Francisco Bay Restoration Act.” The legislation authorizes a 50% cost-share grant program through the EPA’s National Estuary Program for the San Francisco Bay.

The legislation is sponsored by Senators Feinstein (D-Calif.) and Boxer (D-Calif.). Both have committed to work with Rep. Jackie Speier (D-12), who has introduced a version of the legislation in the House, H.R. 5061.
