ACWA Requests Resolutions Supporting Policy Principles on ESA Implementation
ACWA is requesting resolutions from its member agencies supporting the association’s policy principles on Endangered Species Act implementation.
The principles, adopted by the ACWA Board of Directors in July, call for a comprehensive, ecosystem-based approach to implementing both the state and federal ESA. Reflecting a unified voice on the issue, they were crafted by a diverse group of ACWA members over a six-month period and were unanimously adopted by the ACWA Board.
A sample resolution is available to assist agencies in showing their support for the principles at this critical time. Resolutions are requested as soon as possible. If your agency's board will be taking up a resolution, please contact ACWA’s Outreach Specialist Ellen Manolis.
