ACWA Seeks Member Feedback on Groundwater Monitoring Practices, Infrastructure Project Impacts

ACWA is seeking input from its members on two issues related to the implementation of the historic legislative water package enacted in November.

First, the association is asking members to complete a survey on groundwater monitoring and how agencies currently report their data. Information gathered from the Groundwater Monitoring Survey will assist DWR as it develops a practical monitoring program for water systems affected by SBX7 6, the groundwater monitoring legislation.

ACWA is also seeking information on the economic and employment impacts of water infrastructure projects regionally and statewide. The data gathered in the Infrastructure Project Survey will provide critical short- and long-term economic and job-creation benefits of water infrastructure projects and will help illustrate the economic impacts of government funding utilized by water agencies through loan and grant programs.

The deadline to complete each survey is June 8. Contact ACWA Regulatory Advocate Danielle Blacet with questions or for more information.
