Science Panel Issues Report on Draft BDCP Effects Analysis

An independent panel of science experts has released a report on the first phase of its review of the Bay-Delta Conservation Plan (BDCP) Effects Analysis ConceptualFoundation and Analytical Framework and Entrainment Appendix.

The report notes that while the framework represents an “admirable start” to providing a vision to assess BDCP effects, the document does not yet provide the big picture necessary to evaluate how complex changes in the Bay-Delta will be analyzed to ensure conservation and management of covered species.

The report offers several recommendations to help ensure the Effects Analysis achieves its intended purposes.
