$25 Million Available from DWR for Environmental Stewardship Projects

The Department of Water Resources is making available up to $25 million in Proposition 1E funding for environmental stewardship projects that support the Central Valley Flood Protection Plan (CVFPP).

Projects that integrate environmental stewardship and sustainability principles into flood management activities will be eligible for funding under the program. The first proposal solicitation package (PSP) under the Central Valley Flood System Conservation Framework and Strategy Guidelines was released Sept. 12.

Applicants must submit a conceptual proposal by Oct. 2. Full proposals will be requested from applicants whose projects most closely align with the need and intent of the program and Proposition 1E funding, according to DWR.
