Deadline for ACWA’s 2010 Outreach Awards Program is Oct. 4
The deadline is fast approaching for members of ACWA’s Outreach Program to record their interactions or submit copies of letters for the 2010 Outreach Awards. Letters must be received no later than Monday, Oct. 4.
Throughout the year, ACWA has asked its members to take action on several important legislative and policy issues, including:
- Opposition Letters Needed on SB 972 (Wolk) Relating to Indemnity – June 16
- Opposition Letters Needed on AB 1955 (De La Torre) – Public Offices – June 22
- Opposition Letters Needed on AB 2776 (Huffman) – Water Transfers – June 28
- 2nd ALERT: Opposition Letters Needed on AB 2776 (Huffman) in Senate Appropriations – July 29
- 3rd ALERT: AB 2776 (Huffman) to be Considered Again – Aug. 8
- Confirmation of Gubernatorial Appointees to Delta Stewardship Council; Support Letters Requested – Aug. 13
- SB 565 to be Heard on Assembly Floor; Opposition Letters Needed – Aug. 13

The annual Outreach Awards Program recognizes ACWA members for their outstanding participation for promoting ACWA’s legislative goals. Awardees are selected in each ACWA region along with one grand winner for demonstrating exceptional overall performance. Bonus points are awarded to agencies that respond to all alerts listed above. All awardees will be recognized at ACWA’s Fall Conference in Indian Wells.
