Stewardship Council's New Executive Stops by ACWA Region Briefing
The Delta Stewardship Council’s newly named executive officer stopped by a joint briefing for ACWA Regions 2, 3 and 4 in Sacramento today.
Chris Knopp, a former Forest Service official with background in large-scale, contentious projects, was named the council's new executive officer last week. He replaces Joe Grindstaff, who is retiring, and takes the helm as the council prepares to finalize its Delta Plan and move into the implementation phase.
Knopp attended the briefing with Delta Stewardship Council Vice Chair Randy Fiorini, who was invited to update ACWA members on the Delta Plan. Other topics at the briefing included the Bay Delta Conservation Plan, the 2014 water bond and issues related to financing water infrastructure.
