ACWA Comments on Revised Proposed TTHM Public Health Goal

ACWA submitted comments recently supporting revisions made by the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment to its proposed public health goal (PHG) for total trihalomethanes (TTHM) in drinking water. 

The revisions included establishing a PHG for only total trihalomethanes rather than for each individual trihalomethane species, a change requested by ACWA during the original comment period. 

In its letter, ACWA also recommends including a microbiological component in tihe final TTHM risk assessment.
