Description

The successful candidate will work under administrative direction from the Director of Finance, reporting to the District’s Headquarters campus located in Placerville in order to promote team collaboration and cohesiveness.

The position is engaged in the development and implementation of the District’s accounting activities, which among other responsibilities includes, staff supervision, general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, accounts receivable, month-end and year-end closing processes, and related fiscal support services. The position oversees and participates in the annual financial audit including development of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), and provides highly complex administrative support related to accounting information relevant to the preparation of financial reports pursuant to the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB).

Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field from an accredited institution.

Experience

  • Four years of increasingly responsible experience that involved professional accounting activities; including one year at a functional supervisory and/or lead role.

Desired Qualifications

  • Accounting experience in a public utility is highly desired

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Salary

  • $8,650.99 – $10,515.34 per month

Retirement

  • CalPERS 2.0% @ 62 for new CalPERS members
  • 2.0% @ 55 for Classic CalPERS members
