The Mountain House Community Services District (MHCSD) is currently recruiting for the position of Deputy Director of Public Works.

Under administrative direction, this position performs administrative engineering work by directing the work of several major divisions within the Department of Public Works.

Receives administrative direction from the Public Works Director. The work provides for a wide variety of independent decision-making, within legal and general policy and regulatory guidelines. Exercises general direction and supervision over supervisory, professional, technical and clerical staff through subordinate levels of supervision.

A Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or closely related field from an accredited college or university is required. In addition, the successful candidate must have five years professional engineering work in a supervisory or administrative capacity performing diversified public works activities, two of which must have been as a Registered Civil Engineer. Possession of a valid California Driver’s License and a valid Certificate of Registration as a Civil Engineer as issued by the California State Board of Registration for Civil and Professional Engineers are required.
