The award-winning Irvine Ranch Water District (IRWD) is conducting a statewide search for a highly energetic and experienced Engineering Manager, to provide leadership and management to a team of 5-7 engineering staff. The Engineering Manager classification provides planning, design, and construction coordination to develop and maintain the water, sewage, and recycled water facilities necessary to provide the highest level of service to the District’s customers. The Department also provides technical support to other District departments. Requires a combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field, and 10 years of professional engineering experience, with 4 of those years at a supervisory level. Experience must include both planning and design experience for drinking water, recycled water, and groundwater clean-up treatment plants. A Master’s degree in civil engineering or a related field; or a MBA is preferred. Registration as a Professional Engineer in California is required. The annual salary range for the Engineering Manager is between $146,225 and $213,468 DOQE. This position is eligible for Performance Pay on an annual basis up to $2,500. The District will also include a $15,000 sign-on bonus that will be paid out incrementally; $2,500 4 months after start date, $5k at the end of year #1, and $7.5k at the end of year #2.
