The Palmdale Water District is seeking a dynamic and experienced Principal Engineer to help lead critical infrastructure in one of Southern California’s fastest-growing communities. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of day-to-day Capital Improvement Program (CIP) delivery and development projects, ensuring reliable, high-quality water systems that support continued growth. In this role, you’ll serve as a senior technical leader, overseeing complex water system planning, design, and construction while supervising and mentoring engineering staff. You’ll work closely with developers, agencies, and leadership to move projects forward, solve challenges, and maintain high standards for quality, safety, and compliance. This position also plays a key role in budgeting, long-range planning, and representing the District on impactful initiatives.
