The upcoming virtual listening session will be held with ACWA city members Aug. 24 from 1-2 p.m. ACWA city members interested in joining can learn more and register online. The Leadership to Leadership initiative was launched in 2020 to provide opportunities for ACWA leadership to interact with members to gain insightful input to key initiatives and programs, enhance value to member’s overall ACWA experience by offering direct access to the organization’s top leaders and advance goals identified in ACWA’s Five Year Strategic Plan. During the first phase, ACWA hosted 15 virtual sessions with 40 member agencies. All member agencies were invited to one of the sessions through invitations to board members and general managers. The discussions focused on the most pressing local issues facing ACWA members, giving members direct access to ACWA leadership and ACWA an opportunity to hear directly from members about their needs. Phase II builds upon the success of the initial meetings and offers a more expanded set of sessions that allow for increased member engagement across the state. The sessions are being organized around member interests of subject areas. Invitations to participate will be emailed to member agency general managers and board members.
