ACWA Plans Virtual Spring 2021 Conference by ACWA Staff Jan 25, 2021 Water News ACWA is planning a third virtual conference May 12-13 in light of the state’s continuing ban on large gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic. “The health and safety of our members and employees is our highest priority. There is no such thing as a tolerable level of risk in this area,” said ACWA Executive Director Dave Eggerton. “At the same time, we can approach planning a third virtual conference with a high degree of confidence in our ability to deliver an invaluable experience for attendees.” ACWA has gained considerable expertise in producing two virtual conferences during 2020. Building on the success of these events, the 2021 Spring Virtual Conference & Exhibition will feature the same quality content that ACWA members expect, including notable keynote speakers, statewide issue forums and other diverse programs discussing critical issues affecting the water industry. ACWA will again host an interactive virtual Exhibit Hall that will showcase innovative products. Continuing education credits will also remain available for water industry professionals, as well as a virtual Chat Lounge in which attendees can connect with each other in small groups. The virtual conference is scheduled for May 12-13. Registration and further details will be posted on www.acwa.com on Feb. 1. “I have every expectation that we will be able to hold our fall conference in person, which will be a memorable cause for celebration,” Eggerton said.
