ACWA’s 2021 Summary of Legislation and Appellate Cases Now Available by ACWA Staff Nov 23, 2021 Water News ACWA’s “2021 Summary of Legislation” and “2021 Summary of Appellate Cases” policy documents are now available for ACWA members. The “Summary of Legislation” outlines legislation enacted in the first year of the 2021-’22 legislation session that is relevant to ACWA member agencies, including public water agencies, city water departments and mutual water companies. The summary contains information on legislation related to administrative and operational compliance, California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), safe drinking water, water rates and more. The 13th annual “Summary of Appellate Cases” details court decisions in 2020-’21 that may be of interest to ACWA members and their counsel. The summary includes cases related to water rights, CEQA, National Environmental Policy Act, government, and transparency and ethics. This summary was prepared by the ACWA Legal Affairs Committee and other attorneys from the water community. Both documents are available online only.
