PV Water embraces the challenge of achieving a sustainable groundwater basin that will serve our interconnected communities by creating a reliable water supply and proactively address the challenges of climate change, sea level rise, overdraft, and groundwater quality degradation. The SP24+ reflects our approach to building a resilient future that includes integrating groundwater and surface water solutions, protecting groundwater quality, and increasing water conservation. PV Water is prioritizing critical infrastructure to expand our water reliability portfolio, as demonstrated with the active construction of the College Lake Water Supply Project that will serve as the next major water supply facility to advance this strategy. PV Water’s organizational goals include engagement and education to progress our Mission: “to achieve sustainable groundwater resources in the Pajaro Valley for our vibrant agricultural, commercial, industrial, and residential communities for today and future generations.” PV Water will continue to lead in innovation and advancing the sustainability of the groundwater basin for the prosperity and well-being of our diverse community and ecosystem. “We are excited to continue engaging PV Water’s partnerships and community so we may, together, improve our position and create opportunities for our economy, environment, and way of life for our collective future,” comments Brian Lockwood, General Manager. With SP24+, PV Water honors its 40-year history and charts a path forward for continued success. To learn more, visit www.pvwater.org.
