Special Screening of “Beyond the Brink” to be Held March 14 in Sacramento by Emily Allshouse Feb 26, 2018 Water News In a new documentary by The Chronicles Group, Inc., Filmmaker and Producer Jim Thebaut explores society’s future in a world where water, food, and natural resources teeter on the edge of sustainability and how the scarcity of these resources pose a threat to national security. The film, titled “Beyond the Brink,” focuses on California’s San Joaquin Valley and the difficulties faced by farmers due to water scarcity and drought. The film also provides a vision for a path forward, exploring efforts already underway to shift our course. A special screening of the film is being sponsored by Clean Water and Jobs for California and presented in partnership with ACWA on March 14 in Sacramento. The 90-minute film screening will take place at the Crest Theatre at 1013 K Street from 4-5:30 p.m., immediately followed by a 45-minute panel discussion.
