State Water Board Releases Help Guide for Wastewater & Recycled Water Reporting by Caroline Minasian Mar 11, 2020 Water News The State Water Resources Control Board recently published a new volumetric annual reporting module in GeoTracker for wastewater and recycled water permittees to use for their annual reporting. To help dischargers, the State Water Board also published a Help Guide for Volumetric Annual Report in Geotracker, which includes information on how to access GeoTracker and provides step-by-step instructions on how to report data. California wastewater and recycled water permittees are required to annually report their monthly volumes of influent, wastewater produced and effluent, including treatment level and discharge type. Permittees are also required to report recycled water use by volume and category of use as applicable. Approximately 845 permittees need to complete their 2019 annual reporting by April 30. The state uses the Volumetric Annual Report to track progress toward current recycled water goals in the Recycled Water Policy and the Draft Water Resilience Portfolio. In addition, the data helps evaluate the potential for increased recycled water use and assists with statewide water supply planning efforts. More information on requirements and reporting can be found in the Recycled Water Policy and Frequently Asked Questions document.
