ACWA Accepting Legislative Proposals for 2027 by ACWA Staff Aug 3, 2026 Water News SACRAMENTO — ACWA is encouraging member agencies to submit ideas for legislative solutions that will help shape the association’s advocacy during the 2027 legislative year. Each year, member agencies are encouraged to submit proposals for ACWA to sponsor or support bills. ACWA’s State Legislative Committee evaluates the proposals and determines which position to take. Member agencies that want to submit a proposal for consideration must do so by Sept. 25 by taking steps listed in an Aug. 3 ACWA Advisory. Member login is required. ACWA staff will contact agencies directly regarding the status of the proposal after it is submitted. Agencies may be asked to present their proposals to the State Legislative Committee at its Oct. 29 in-person planning meeting in Sacramento.
