ACWA Foundation Launches High School Internship Toolkit by ACWA Staff Oct 26, 2026 Water News SACRAMENTO — At ACWA member agencies’ request, the ACWA Foundation and Tomorrow’s Talent developed a comprehensive toolkit designed to help small and midsized water and wastewater agencies adopt internship programs. The Tomorrow’s Water High School Internship Toolkit turns workforce goals into student opportunities, helping agencies introduce students to water careers and build their workforce. Available statewide at water.tomorrowstalent.org, the secure online toolkit offers demos throughout November, with registration available through the site. Eight sections cover program planning, supervisor preparation, legal and safety considerations, leadership engagement, inclusive recruitment, student outreach, education partnerships and impact measurement. First-year access is $5,000, or $4,500 for ACWA members. Annual renewal is $1,000, including updated resources and guidance reflecting evolving laws, regulations and workforce practices. The ACWA Foundation and its Board of Trustees operate separately and independently from ACWA and its Board of Directors.
