WVWD Names Jared Macias General Manager by Walnut Valley Water District Oct 27, 2026 Member Submitted News WALNUT — Walnut Valley Water District (WVWD) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jared Macias as its new General Manager, bringing a commitment to strengthening both the water system and the people who keep it running. Macias, who has served as Interim General Manager since May 2026, will lead the District with a focus on three priorities: maintaining safe and reliable water service, making responsible investments that support long-term affordability, and empowering the employees who serve the community every day. “Reliable water service doesn’t happen by accident. It takes planning, responsible investment, and most importantly, dedicated people,” said Macias. “My priority is to make sure we continue delivering the safe, dependable water our customers expect while being thoughtful about affordability and investing in the employees who make it all possible.” Macias joined WVWD in 2022 as Assistant General Manager, and brings more than 16 years of experience in water utility management and operations, including his previous role as Assistant Director of Utilities for Water at the City of Azusa. His experience has helped shape his understanding of the operational, financial, and workforce needs of a public water agency. As General Manager, Macias will guide the District through continued infrastructure improvements, long-term water supply planning, and efforts to strengthen organizational efficiency. Equally important will be fostering a workplace culture where employees feel supported, have opportunities to grow, and understand the value of their contributions. “Jared understands that our responsibility extends beyond delivering water. It’s about earning the trust of our customers, planning responsibly for the future, and supporting the employees who carry out our mission,” said Jerry Tang, President of the WVWD Board of Directors. “The Board looks forward to working with him as we continue building a strong and resilient community anchor.” For Macias, the District’s success will be measured not only by the reliability of its infrastructure but also by the strength of its workforce and the relationships it builds with the community and the region. “Every time someone turns on their faucet, there’s an entire team working behind the scenes to make that possible,” added Macias. “I want our employees to take pride in that responsibility and our customers to feel confident that we’re making decisions with their best interests in mind.” Under his leadership, WVWD will continue advancing its mission of meeting the water supply needs of the communities it serves while prioritizing public trust, financial responsibility, professional development, and dependable service for generations to come.
