Webinar: Turning Electricity Reliability Challenges into an Opportunity to Save On Energy Costs Jun 19, 2024 Webinars & Events From energy efficiency upgrades to installing solar panels, California’s water agencies have long been at the forefront of energy trends. Today, a new opportunity for leadership is emerging: the adoption of battery-powered microgrids. By integrating existing on-site energy resources like backup generators and solar arrays with cutting-edge battery and controller technologies, microgrids provide enhanced resilience against growing wildfire risks as well as cost savings to combat California’s fast-rising electricity prices. On June 17, Scale Microgrids, a leading national microgrid developer, held a webinar to discuss several microgrid projects it is currently building for California water agencies, the benefits these types of projects offer for the water sector, and the government incentives and innovative financing models available to ensure these projects deliver cost savings from day one. Speaker: Tim McDuffie, PE Senior Business Development Manager Scale MicrogridsTim McDuffie, PE is a Senior Business Development Manager at Scale Microgrids.
