ACWA Certificate of Excellence

The ACWA Certificate of Excellence (A.C.E.) was developed to recognize public water agencies that demonstrate excellence by providing services in an economical, effective, efficient, environmentally sensitive, and ethical manner by using best management practices, financially-sound procedures, good governance policies and innovative processes. The A.C.E. Program is also intended to provide enhanced member value and generate non-dues revenues for the Association.

The ACWA Board of Directors approved the A.C.E. Pilot Program in 2023 and it will launch with 12 participating agencies in 2024.

Learn more by clicking on the below dropdowns.

Participants

ACWA’s Business Development Committee is currently working with a small group of agencies of various sizes and types (ag, city, urban, etc.) to pilot the program. These participants will become the Inaugural A.C.E. Awardees.

How it Works

A member of the ACWA Business Development Committee’s A.C.E. Subcommittee will work directly with a representative from each agency applicant to:

  1. Answer questions about the application;
  2. Verify the agency’s eligibility; and
  3. Provide assistance completing and submitting the application.

Benefits

Benefits to each A.C.E. Awardee include the following for a three-year timeframe:

  1. Plaque presented by ACWA to the agency at a time to be determined;
  2. A.C.E. designation artwork for the agency’s digital and/or printed materials; and
  3. A.C.E. designation on name badges for the agency’s representatives at ACWA events.
