Deputy General Manager
Approximate Annual Salary Range: $120,000 – $250,000 (plus benefits)

San Luis Water District is seeking a self-motivated and qualified individual to work as the District’s Deputy General Manager to direct, control and supervise all aspects of the District’s administrative, agricultural, domestic water and wastewater systems, water project operations, water supply management and represent the District regarding interagency operations and legislative efforts. Any combination of experience, education and training that would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities would be:

Education: equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university with major coursework in water resources, engineering, hydrology, planning, natural resources, public policy or administration, or a related field.

Experience: eight (8) years of increasingly professional level work experience including two (2) years in a management role performing duties equivalent to an assistant general manager, deputy general manager, resource manager, water manager, engineering manager or a closely related field.

This recruitment may be used to fill current and future vacancies for those applicants that meet the qualifications for the positions of Assistant General Manager/Water Resources and/or Assistant General Manager/District Engineer.
