Contra Costa Water District’s General Management team is seeking a skilled and forward-thinking Deputy Science and Policy Manager. This position plays a vital role in protecting the CCWD’s water quality and supply reliability by analyzing complex legislative trends, evaluating adaptive management strategies, and recommending strategic policies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Training and Experience: Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:

Training: Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in civil engineering, water resource planning, environmental planning, watershed, land, or natural resource management, environmental science, or a related field.

Experience: Five (5) years of increasingly responsible project/program management experience in water resource planning and/or Bay-Delta watershed collaborative initiatives.

Licenses and Certifications: Possession of a valid California driver’s license to be maintained throughout employment.
