ACWA Members Must Designate a Voter for Election on Proposed Amended Bylaws

ACWA member agencies have until Oct. 30 to designate their voter for next month’s election on proposed bylaw amendments.

Each member agency is entitled to one vote that will be cast by its authorized voting representative. Member agencies can designate their voting representative by submitting the Voting Representative Form by Friday, Oct. 30.

Voting will be conducted by electronic ballot consistent with the voting process used by members to elect Board Officers and region boards. Conducting the vote electronically provides all members an opportunity to participate, rather than limiting voting to members attending an ACWA conference, thereby promoting broader member participation and engagement.

Important Next Steps

  1. Designate voting representative: Fill out the attached Voting Representative Form by Oct. 30.
  2. Review proposed Amended and Restated Bylaws: The proposed changes are available online.
  3. Vote: Your designated voter will receive an email directly from Simply Voting on Nov. 9. Have them add (vote@simplyvoting.com) to their safe-senders list to ensure delivery of the ballot. Ballots must be submitted by Dec. 18.

More information on the proposed Amended & Restated Bylaws, voting process, and next steps is available online at acwa.com.

For additional questions regarding the proposed Amended and Restated Bylaws or the voting process, please contact ACWA’s General Counsel Joshua Nelson at joshua.nelson@bbklaw.com or Senior Clerk of the Board Donna Pangborn at donnap@acwa.com.
