To: Western Senator

Letter excerpt:

On June 8th, a national coalition of over 220 Western farmers, ranchers, water providers, businesses and communities (Coalition) sent the attached letter to Committee leadership urging Congress to utilize ongoing infrastructure efforts to address critical Western water supply infrastructure. The Coalition builds upon the efforts by many Senators and Members of Congress to include a Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) title in any infrastructure package, and outlines specific needs including $2-3 billion for new storage and conveyance projects along with at least $3.2 billion to address rehabilitation of existing infrastructure that Reclamation has identified as needed over the next 5 year – a figure that grows to roughly $8 billion within 10 years.
