Subject: ACWA Support for Infrastructure Investment in Jobs Act, Concerns with PFAS Amendment

Letter excerpt:

The Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA) is pleased to write in support of the bipartisan Senate Infrastructure Investment in Jobs Act (H.R. 3684 as amended by S. Amendment 2137). ACWA’s more than 450 public water agency members supply over 90 percent of the water delivered in California for municipal, environmental, agricultural, and business uses. Overall, ACWA believes the legislation contains many water- and forest-related provisions that will be beneficial for California, and the West at large. During a period of record drought, the billions of dollars in investments are timely and vital for addressing climate change, creating jobs, and ensuring infrastructure resiliency.
