Subject: ACWA Comment Letter regarding Notice of Preparation of a Draft Program Environmental Impact Report for the Adoption of a Regulation for the Hexavalent Chromium Maximum Contaminant Level

Letter excerpt:

ACWA appreciates State Water Board’s role in determining an MCL for Hexavalent Chromium. Ensuring the safety of drinking water supplies by complying with all relevant state and federal standards is the highest priority of these agencies. ACWA supports the State Water Board’s decision to seek input from interested stakeholders on the preparation of a draft program EIR and hopes this effort results in a comprehensive evaluation of the potential impacts of complying with a new Hexavalent Chromium MCL. ACWA provides the following comments for the State Water Board as it moves forward with the development of an EIR for the development of an MCL for Hexavalent Chromium.
