Subject: ACWA Request for Water Infrastructure Funding in Future COVID-19 Legislation

Letter excerpt:

The Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA) appreciates your leadership to address the disastrous consequences caused by the recent COVID-19 outbreak by passing legislation to provide relief for this emergency. As you consider further measures to help our country recover economically – including boosting federal funding for infrastructure –ACWA respectfully requests you include water infrastructure funding in future COVID-19 legislation to help provide jobs and address the shortcomings of both California’s and the West’s aging water infrastructure. ACWA’s 455 public water agency members supply over 90 percent of the water delivered in California for residential, agricultural, and municipal uses.
