The Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA) writes today for two reasons, first to thank you for your decision to maintain operations at a majority California Farm Service Agency (FSA) offices and second, to respectfully submit comments regarding the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Reorganization Plan. ACWA appreciates USDA efforts to achieve efficient, effective, cost-saving operations. We encourage USDA to approach its Reorganization Plan in a manner that preserves critical partnerships with water managers, agricultural producers, and foresters, and reinforces commitments to sustainable and productive water and land management practices.
