Property Tax and Reserve Fund Policy Principles Nov 1, 2005 Policy Documents In November 2005, ACWA released its “Policy Principles and Guidelines to Protect Property Tax and Reserve Funds,” outlining a number of proactive strategies, materials and forums to both assist members in protecting their ad valorem property tax revenues and reserve funds and to develop policies to enhance ACWA’s advocacy. This policy document clearly defines for legislators how property tax and reserve funds are used and why they are so critical as well as provides guidelines and sample policies to help members establish local policies that will protect these funding sources in the future.
