Subject: Proposed Revisions to the State’s Capacity Development Strategy for Public Drinking Water Systems

Letter excerpt:

The Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA) appreciates the opportunity to submit written comments to the State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) regarding proposed revisions to the State’s Capacity Development Strategy for public drinking water systems (Draft Strategy) to reflect Safe and Affordable Funding for Equity and Resilience Program goals and priorities. ACWA represents over 460 local public water agencies that supply water for domestic, agricultural, and industrial uses. Together, ACWA’s members distribute approximately 90% of the water supplied in California. ACWA’s public agency members that purvey drinking water take the mission to deliver safe drinking water seriously.
