Water-Energy Legislative Policy Principles and Recommendations Jul 1, 2009 In July 2009, ACWA released policy principles titled “Water-Energy Legislative Policy Recommendations,” which details policy recommendations that address issues related to the water-energy nexus. The five recommendations include providing various incentives for investing in energy efficient and renewable energy projects and systems, educating the public on the water-energy nexus and providing incentives for efficient water and power use, and finding new ways to increase the efficiency of water systems.
