Attend CSDA’s Special Districts Legislative Days!

The Brown Act, property taxes, public contracting, employment law, infrastructure funding, mandates, mandates, mandates, and so much more…These are some of the many legislative issues impacting all types of special districts, which is why it is so important we unite our voice each year at Special Districts Legislative Days in Sacramento.

Legislative Days brings special district leaders together to get informed and take action. It’s a fast-paced one and a half day conference that includes a legislative reception and pre-arranged Capitol Office Visits you can be scheduled to attend with peers from your region to educate lawmakers on the biggest public policy issues facing the communities we collectively serve.

Advocacy priorities are guided by the CSDA Legislative Committee, and CSDA will form attendee groups and schedule your meetings based on legislative offices’ constraints and other logistics. Attendees are asked not to self-schedule independent legislative meetings during the hours of the conference as it will result in scheduling conflicts.

HOTEL ROOM RESERVATIONS: As of 2/23/26, availability within the CSDA room block at the Hyatt is running low.  If rooms are unavailable, overflow options are below.

Hyatt Regency: Room reservations in the CSDA room block start at the rate of $249 plus tax and fees per day. The room reservation cut-off is March 16, 2026; however, space is limited and may sell out before this date.

Overflow hotel: Residence Inn by Marriott Sacramento Downtown at Capitol Park – $250/night (last day to book – 3/8/26)

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations must be in writing and received by CSDA no later than March 6, 2026. All cancellations received by this date will be refunded less a $100 processing fee. There will be no refunds for cancellations made after March 6, 2026. Substitutions to another attendee are possible but only for Legislative Days (not transferable to another conference) and must be done in writing no later than March 25, 2026.
